Birds up on the highline wire
Greet the breaking day;
They sing a cheerful song
To send me on my way.
No matter what they've been through
As the sun comes peeking out
They're back upon their perch
To give the day a shout.
When the storms roll overhead
They just hunker on their limb
But, when it's past they shake it off
Like it was no big deal to them.
We should learn to look at life
Just like a tiny bird;
No matter what is thrown at us
Let a cheerful song be heard.
