Sometimes
We pour our hearts
Into something we love dearly
Only for our efforts
To go
Unnoticed.
It is easy
To become disheartened
When we know
That no one
Cares.
It is then
We must remember
Why we are doing
What we are doing
In the first place.
Then we can at least
Take pleasure in the knowledge
That we did our best.
