How do you meet expectations
Others set for you?
Have you thought about how you live your life
The way others expect you to?
We worry about what someone sees
So, are we really true?
Or, just defined by what is said
By those who might see what we do?
Life is short and then it’s done
And the sun goes round and round
While we spend our time trying to prove who we are
Before we end up in the ground.
Perhaps we should focus on bigger things
Than what someone else might think
And live our life for a higher goal
Because it will be gone in a blink.
