Character and Persistence

Some days you get hammered
And it's hard to pick yourself up.
You are keyed up
Built up
Psyched up
And disappointed
When it doesn't go the way you wanted.

So, how do you respond?
Do you get down on yourself?
Become disillusioned?
Or, do you bounce right back
And move on to the next project?
Or, better yet,
Take a new approach and try again?

How we respond to what life hands us
Reveals our character.
Weakness is easily defeated;
Strength is in persistence.
What are you made of?
Are you strong, or weak?
Persistent, or easily defeated?

Good Post...I think it starts at a young age. Some of the "grit" what you are born with but most of it is transfered from parents.

I try to get back up, and plug away at the problem again the next day. Things usually work out, but I stress stuff anyway, LOL!

Hope you had a great Mothers' Day with your family!

All you can do is plug on.

I'm doing a lot of getting back up these days and truthfully its sapping my life force- without faith I'd be down on the floor..

Good word, we need to learn patience and persistence sometimes. God didn't offer life with out any pain.
